CreateGUID

Description:

baCreateGUID creates a unique GUID.

Usage:

Result = baCreateGUID( )

Arguments:

None.

Returns:

String.
Returns a unique GUID.

Examples:

Director:
guid = baCreateGUID( )

Authorware:
guid := baCreateGUID( )
 

Notes:

A GUID is a Globally Unique Identifier. It is a unique 128-bit number produced by an application or operating system to identify a particular component, application, file, database entry or user. Each generated GUID will be unique every time it is run because it includes a time component. Running this function twice on the same computer will result in two different GUIDs being generated.
